DAY 1 (03 AUG 2026): Training - page 2 of 5

SESSION 1: ASSIST Training (12:00pm-1:30pm) *

As the Department's official source for specifications and standards, this training session will provide an overview of DoD standards development processes, ASSIST fundamentals, and specifications & standards as digital data. Attendees will get an inside look at ASSIST modernization efforts with a demonstration of the new user dashboard, filters, and export capabilities.

SESSION 2: WSIT/Pin Point Training (1:45pm-3:15pm) *

*FOR CAC HOLDERS ONLY* A thorough overview of the WSIT functionality and a detailed survey of Pin Point capabilities, followed by an opportunity for Q&A.

SESSION 3, TRACK 1: DISR Tool Training (3:30pm-5:00pm) *

*FOR CAC HOLDERS ONLY* The DoD IT Standards Registry (DISR) is the authoritative registry that identifies DoD IT and National Security Systems (NSS) standards prescribed for use across the DoD pursuant to Sections 142 and 2223(a)(3) of Title 10, U.S.C. DoD Components with IT and NSS in development or procurement are required to use IT standards registered in DISR in compliance with DoDI 8310.01, “Information Technology Standards in the DoD”. The training will cover the DISR, Joint Enterprise Standards Committee (JESC), and Standards Viewpoint (STD-V).

SESSION 3, TRACK 2: GIDEP Training (3:30pm-5:00pm) *

This comprehensive GIDEP training session equips attendees with the practical skills to navigate, extract, and leverage critical data across all five GIDEP Data Areas. Participants will receive targeted instruction on DMSMS tools, counterfeit mitigation, and new MFA security protocols, followed by an interactive Q&A to address unique operational challenges. This session is highly recommended for both new representatives and veteran users looking to maximize their use of GIDEP.org.
